Mac Jones

Jones inherited the Tua starting job in 2020 and ran the Alabama operation to 13-0, a national title against Ohio State, and a 77.4% completion rate that's the highest a Power-5 starter has ever posted. The supporting cast (Smith, Waddle, Najee Harris, four NFL first-rounders on offense) was the best ever assembled in the era; the question of how much the season was Jones and how much it was the cast was settled by the games where the cast was hurt. He delivered on those weeks too. The Patriots took him 15th overall.
