Travis Hunter
Colorado Sanders Era · 2023–2024The first two-way Heisman in 27 years and the closest thing the modern era has produced to a player playing the wrong sport.
2024 Heisman · 96 catches · 1,258 rec yds · 4 INT · two-way
Hunter's 2024 — 96 catches for 1,258 yards as a receiver, four interceptions and 11 PBUs as a corner, 1,400 snaps total, the Heisman won as a two-way player for the first time since Charles Woodson in 1997 — was the season the rest of the sport spent trying to explain. He was a five-star recruit who flipped from Florida State to Jackson State because Deion Sanders was running it, then followed Sanders to Colorado for 2023, and ran the program's resurrection. The Jaguars took him second overall in 2025. The Colorado season that put Sanders' program on the national schedule is inseparable from his presence on both sides of the ball.
