Moore was the run-game coordinator who served as acting head coach during Harbaugh's 2023 sign-stealing suspension and went 4-0 in those games. The promotion was inevitable when Harbaugh left for the Chargers. Year one (8-5) was a step backward by win-total, but the Michigan beat-Ohio-State streak extended to four with the 13-10 Columbus win in November 2024. The Stalions investigation continues to overhang the tenure; the on-field evidence is mixed; the rivalry result keeps the rank top-15.
