The PSAC is the largest DII conference by enrollment and the one with the most NFL draft picks per decade. West Chester has appeared in Super Region championship games. Slippery Rock, Shippensburg, California (PA), and Kutztown all produce NFL players from small Pennsylvania state universities. Wild CardSlippery Rock: The Name and the Program

Slippery Rock University has the most recognizable name in DII football — ESPN used to read the Slippery Rock score as a joke, then the joke became a tradition. The program behind the name is genuinely competitive: multiple PSAC appearances, NFL draft picks, a tradition of physical play from the western Pennsylvania corridor. When they are healthy in November, Slippery Rock is a legitimate Super Region dark horse.
