Jaylon Hutchings
Wins the gap play after play. Played for three head coaches at Texas Tech: Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Wells and Joey McGuire. The first career honor came in 2023: All-Big 12. One game to point at: 8 tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss against Kansas — Week 11, 2023.
Play style
Stout at the point of attack — steady tackle-for-loss production without a standout pass-rush number.

What the box score actually says
42 tackles. 1 pass defended. 0 interceptions. 7 TFL.
Counts only, never a rate — splash-event sample sizes this small (interceptions, pass breakups, TFL) are noise as a rate and signal only as a tally.
