Byron Murphy II: DL · Texas · #90.
Closest statistical matches, adjusted for opponent strength.
Byron Murphy II
Wins the gap play after play. Third year in the same defensive front at Texas. The first one came in 2023: Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year. A game that shows it: 4 tackles and 3 tackles for loss against Baylor — Week 4, 2023.
Play style
Stout at the point of attack — steady tackle-for-loss production without a standout pass-rush number.

What the box score actually says
26 tackles. 0 passes defended. 0 interceptions. 8 TFL.
Counts only, never a rate — splash-event sample sizes this small (interceptions, pass breakups, TFL) are noise as a rate and signal only as a tally.
